At Butchers Creek State School we have created a number of very special and versatile teaching spaces that enhance student learning.
The music room is a large, carpeted space ideal for singing and instrumental programs, as well as dance and drama instruction. The science and art lab is a tiled, practical space for hands-on and creative activities. Our largest classroom is our main teaching and learning space. It is freshly painted and well-resourced. Our second classroom, located adjacent to the covered play area, houses our home reading program, numerous literacy and numeracy resources. There are two interactive whiteboards, a combination of desk top and laptop computers and interactive mobile devices all to support student learning throughout the school. Our library serves as an ideal area for small group learning, Religion and Languages other than English (LOTE).
Set on four hectares the school boasts well maintained, spacious ovals and a variety of play areas including a sand pit. An adventure playground and a giant spider web keep the children fit and occupied each break. A spacious undercover area allows the students to participate in outdoor activities all year round.
